A point of sale (POS) is a system that businesses use to manage sales transactions. When you go for a meal, the till that your waitress uses to put your order through… well that’s EPOS software. It’s used by a variety of businesses to manage stock, transactions, staff and much more. We have come a long way from basic coded cash registers. Now, EPOS software has unlimited capabilities and can have a transformative effect on your business.
The only problem with myEPOS software was the way it looked… the company was struggling to penetrate younger business owners due to the aesthetics of the software. They learnt that younger target markets wouldn’t even consider the features of the product simply because it didn’t look modern.
Working on Adobe XD to create the concept, I worked closely with the myEPOS team in order to create a new UI design that is fresh, modern and clear. There are thousands of different interfaces to re-design, so this will be an ongoing project, constantly evolving and considering functionality and user experience. The most important part of this design was making sure that they did not lose any functionality and the customer could still use the software with ease.
